Home of GOLFZON Tour’s Season 1 Finalists
When Brandon Shaya founded Tee Times in Michigan, he envisioned more than just an indoor golf business—he set out to create a premier golf simulator facility that combined cutting-edge technology with top-tier food and service. As a restaurant owner by trade, Brandon brought his expertise in hospitality to the golf simulator business, crafting an experience that keeps players coming back.
With Tee Times making it all the way to the finals of the GOLFZON Tour at the PGA Show—securing a second-place finish behind Los Angeles Golf Envy—this facility has become a cornerstone for both casual players and competitive golfers alike. Now, with a second location in Bloomfield Township featuring 13 commercial golf simulators, Tee Times is expanding its impact on the indoor golf business.
In this Customer Spotlight, we’ll explore Brandon’s journey in starting a golf simulator business, why he chose GOLFZON’s best commercial golf simulator technology, and how Tee Times is redefining the golf simulator business model.
Question: Brandon, what inspired you to start Tee Times?
Brandon: I’m a restaurant owner by trade. Since its inception, my idea for Tee Times was to bring in a group of safe-certified servers and cooks to present food and service alongside the premier golf simulator. To put it all together in a business—it was absolutely what you call a dream come true.
Q: Why did you choose GOLFZON’s commercial golf simulator technology for Tee Times?
Brandon: My favorite piece about the GOLFZON simulator is the ability to watch the replays, collect the data, and go into my GOLFZON app later on to watch myself swing. I’m not always happy about what I see, but at least I get the feedback, and I think overall, it makes you a better player.
Q: How is Tee Times supporting the local golf community?
Brandon: There are three local high schools—boys’ and girls’ teams—that get to practice here every week during the off-season or even during the season when it’s raining. We don’t charge them. We love the fact that they can come in and practice at our facility.
Q: Tell us about your plans for expansion.
Brandon: Tee Times is going to be opening its second location—a thirteen-simulator facility in Bloomfield Township, Michigan—where we will feature the same technology, same food, and same service.
Q: What sets Tee Times apart from other indoor golf simulator businesses?
Brandon: Most of the people that come in here—regulars that visit our site—they come back over and over again. They tell us the same thing: our facility is really second to none. There are other facilities out there, maybe they’ve gone and tried them, but when they come here, they just don’t go anywhere else. And with a facility like this, word-of-mouth spreads so fast. We were busy almost immediately. Within our first day opening, we were packed. It’s been a heck of a ride.
